# VectorMagik

> A free, offline raster-to-vector app for Windows by LunarWerx. It turns PNG, JPEG, GIF, BMP and PNM pictures into clean SVG, PDF and EPS vectors. Nothing leaves the computer.

VectorMagik traces logos, artwork, pixel art and photographs into editable vector curves. Auto settings detect the kind of picture and its quality and pick the tracing settings. The result can be edited by hand (show the curve nodes, drag one, round a corner, undo anything), limited to 1 to 64 colors, flattened onto a background color, or given a die-cut sticker outline, and saved as SVG, PDF or EPS at 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x or any width. A command line program, vector-magic-rebuild.exe, does the same work without a window. A browser version runs the conversion inside the browser tab, on the visitor's own computer, without uploading the picture.

VectorMagik is an independent reimplementation, in Rust, of the tracing engine of Vector Magic's desktop program, with its own measured improvements. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Vector Magic, Inc.; "Vector Magic" is their trademark.
